Hafiz Jamal Uddin is a senior Quran and Tajweed teacher at Online Study Quran Academy. His classes are about reading the Quran correctly, from the very first letters of Noorani Qaida through to smooth, fluent recitation with the Tajweed rules applied as you go.
Because he teaches all three stages, students who start with him as complete beginners can often stay with the same teacher as they move up, if their timetables allow.
What Hafiz Jamal Uddin teaches
- Quran with Tajweed
Makharij, the rules of noon and meem sakinah, madd, ghunnah and qalqalah, and the common mistakes that self-taught readers pick up. - Quran Reading (Nazra)
Reading smoothly and confidently from the Mushaf, with Tajweed applied as you read and correct places to pause and carry on. - Noorani Qaida for Beginners
Every Arabic letter and its sound, the short vowels, joining letters into words, and rules like sukoon, shaddah and madd, with correct pronunciation from the first lesson.
Who these classes suit
- Quran with Tajweed: beginners who have never studied Tajweed and fluent readers who want to polish their recitation.
- Quran Reading (Nazra): students who can already recognise Arabic letters and want to read more fluently, including those preparing for Hifz.
- Noorani Qaida for Beginners: complete beginners of any age, from young children to adults and new Muslims who never learned the letters.
How a class works
Every lesson is live and one-on-one over video, so it’s only you (or your child) and the teacher. You choose the days and times, and lessons can run from 15 minutes to an hour. Your teacher keeps track of what you’ve covered and what needs more practice, and parents of younger students are welcome to sit in on any class.
