Credentials: Hafiz-e-Quran · Ijazah-certified · Senior Quran Instructor & Managing Director

Hafiz Muhammad Asim Riaz is the Managing Director of Online Study Quran Academy and one of its senior Quran teachers. Alongside running the academy, he still teaches his own students one-on-one.

Most of his classes are in Hifz, where he guides students through new lessons, revision of recent work and the long, steady effort of keeping what they’ve memorised. He also teaches Tajweed and Quran reading, often to students who are getting their recitation ready before they start memorising.

What Hafiz Muhammad Asim Riaz teaches

  • Hifz (Memorising the Quran)
Memorisation with the Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil method: a new lesson each day, regular revision of recent portions, and a rotation through older ones so they stay fresh.
  • Quran with Tajweed
Makharij, the rules of noon and meem sakinah, madd, ghunnah and qalqalah, and the common mistakes that self-taught readers pick up.
  • Quran Reading (Nazra)
Reading smoothly and confidently from the Mushaf, with Tajweed applied as you read and correct places to pause and carry on.

Who these classes suit

  • Hifz (Memorising the Quran): children who already read fluently (often from around age 7 to 12) and adults who want to memorise anything from a few surahs to the whole Quran.
  • Quran with Tajweed: beginners who have never studied Tajweed and fluent readers who want to polish their recitation.
  • Quran Reading (Nazra): students who can already recognise Arabic letters and want to read more fluently, including those preparing for Hifz.

How a class works

Every lesson is live and one-on-one over video, so it’s only you (or your child) and the teacher. You choose the days and times, and lessons can run from 15 minutes to an hour. Your teacher keeps track of what you’ve covered and what needs more practice, and parents of younger students are welcome to sit in on any class.
